In brief

  • The Archdiocese required an effective way to manage approximately 700 properties across South East Queensland.
  • Trixi implemented IBM TRIRIGA as a shared foundation for property, facilities, insurance, compliance, projects and financial management.
  • A strong Esri integration gave teams an intuitive spatial view of the entire portfolio and its important property attributes.
  • The program was extended to manage fleet vehicles and salary-packaging arrangements.
  • The connected solution improved access to trusted information, supported compliance and made portfolio decisions easier to understand and act on.

A geographically diverse property portfolio

The Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane serves communities across South East Queensland through Archdiocesan offices, parishes, agencies and Catholic schools. Its property portfolio extends from the Queensland-New South Wales border north to Gin Gin and west to Eidsvold and Gatton.

Managing approximately 700 properties across that area required a common asset register, consistent processes and a platform that could give authorised teams a reliable view of current and historical information.

Trixi worked with the Archdiocese of Brisbane and Brisbane Catholic Education to configure an end-to-end IBM TRIRIGA solution around the organisations' operating requirements.

Connected property, compliance and delivery processes

The implemented solution brought together information and workflows that had previously been distributed across teams and systems. It provided a shared platform for the people responsible for property and building assets while maintaining appropriate access controls and accountability.

  • Property purchasing, transfers of beneficial ownership and alienation.
  • Insurance information, obligations and compliance management.
  • Facilities, maintenance and service delivery.
  • Capital-project planning and management.
  • Financial management and portfolio reporting.
  • Fleet vehicles and associated salary-packaging arrangements.

A spatial view of the whole portfolio

Trixi integrated Esri spatial technology with the property platform so teams could see the entire portfolio in geographic context. Users could move from a regional view to individual properties and visualise important attributes directly on the map.

The spatial experience made a large and dispersed estate easier to understand. Property, insurance, compliance and operational information could be interpreted by location, helping teams identify patterns, communicate priorities and make better-informed decisions.

Fleet management added to the enterprise platform

After establishing the property-management foundation, Trixi extended the solution to manage fleet vehicles and salary-packaging arrangements. This brought vehicle records, responsibilities and lifecycle information into the same governed environment used for the broader portfolio.

Using the existing enterprise platform avoided another disconnected application and gave the organisation a consistent approach to information, workflow and reporting across both property and mobile assets.

A comprehensive operational foundation

The completed solution centralised asset information, documented repeatable processes and reduced reliance on individual knowledge. It supported timely reporting, stronger audit and legislative compliance, controlled access, and a more consistent end-user experience.

By connecting property, facilities, projects, insurance, compliance, spatial intelligence and fleet management, the Archdiocese of Brisbane and Brisbane Catholic Education gained a scalable foundation for managing resources and improving service delivery across the communities they serve.
